2020 was a difficult year in a lot of respects. Due to the global pandemic, millions of people lost their jobs or were placed on furlough.

In our industry, it meant long hours working at home, with online conferencing and a good playlist for company.

While working from home, many of us chose to use our newly found free time to turn our hand to something new. Here at Information Tamed, it was no different, and our resident developer turned their hand to one of the popular Javascript frameworks: React.

React is a Javascript framework, which was developed by Facebook. It is designed to minimise traffic between server and client, by updating only the part of the page that needs it – e.g. the value of a label.

This is something I will continue learning during 2021, alongside keeping up to date with all the developments in the .net arena.
